For the past 2 years our family has dedicated the entire month of November to showing and expressing more gratitude. Last year's experience prompted our year long commitment of keeping a gratitude journal. We have loved it! This commitment has turned into a wonderful habit that has helped us focus on the positive in our lives. It really has been an easy habit to develop. We share our gratitudes right before we have our nightly family prayer. As we share our reflections I have noticed that we quiet down and become more centered. It is the perfect prelude to prepare us for our benediction. :) Noticing the extraordinary in our simple everyday life has changed us. We are more present for each other. We stop and notice what is going on around us. We no longer function on auto-pilot. Well, at least not all the time. :)

Bye-Bye November Blog Header.
Our family really does feel blessed beyond measure.
Gratitude Journal:
Keenan: Grateful for school friends. I missed them.
Valu: Grateful for an easy transition back to school. It felt like I hadn't been to school in weeks, not just a four day weekend.
Mom: Grateful for the tempo of a day with some order. We are a family who thrives on schedules. Schedules keep us focused and sane.
Dad: Grateful for my family. They keep me focused on what is important.
